OUR AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

Advancement of scientific knowledge and research in relation to the Cardiovascular system in all its aspects to improve our basic understanding and to find better preventive measures and treatment of all types of Cardiovascular diseases. To achieve these aims and objectives, the Society shall: (1) Hold periodical meetings, conferences and social gatherings. (2) Arrange clinical discourses, discussions and demonstrations on any subject of interest to the Society. (3) Actively encourage research, teaching and training programmes at various centers and expand knowledge base through Library and use of Computer and Internet. (4) Engage in public education and training with the objective of improved preventive programmes for the welfare of all. (5) Publish, distribute or otherwise circulate records, transactions and proceedings of the various meetings and conferences of the Society. Publish and circulate a Journal which shall be a character specially related to the cardiovascular sciences. (6) Co-ordinate as necessary and as such seen fit with other Societies or Organizations having similar and allied objectives. (7) Raise and borrow money and invest any sum belonging to the Society not immediately required in such a manner as the Society may think fit. (8) Erect, maintain, improve or alter and keep in repair any building occupied by the Society. (9) Do all other things as are cognate to e objectives of the Society or are incidental or conducive to the attainment of the above objectives. (10) To serve the underprivileged people and run the free heart clinic.

Message from President

Esteemed Members and Friends,

Hearty Greetings from CSI-West Bengal branch. The website of an organization in this digital era is being recognized as its “Façade”. The newly elected “Executive Committee” of the branch envisions an Organization that is fair, transparent, academically vibrant, scientifically rich and humanely warm. We have started our journey with an ambitious plan of having four back to back Scientific Conferences between April ’23 and September ’23 on Cardiac Prevention, Cardiovascular Intervention, Imaging and Heart Failure respectively. Publishing a Periodic Journal from the branch that will feature local research initiatives, case-reports apart from contemporary topics is also in the pipeline. Reviving and restarting the “Free-Clinic” in the Heart House, which is in fact a constitutional mandate, is also on the anvil. World Heart Day celebration is also being planned with some innovative thoughts. So, Ladies and Gentleman, please stay tuned, CSI-WB is here to serve you and serve the society at large with humility, sincerity and honesty.

Dear Friends,

‘’It is my privilege to welcome all members of CSI -WEST BENGAL BRANCH to our newly designed Website. The sole purpose of creating this website is to provide updated information regarding the Scientific events organized under the aegis of CSI WB Branch ,to ensure exchange of thoughts and knowledge of our enlightened members from the field of Cardiology, to encourage the young fellow members to submit their research work, interesting case study unpublished thesis work in particular related to Cardiology through this common forum , so that the same can be published in our official journal “Bengal Heart Journal”patronized by our Chief Editor Dr.(Prof) Arup Dasbiswas. Apart from the academic activities our benevolent service will soon be available . We are determined to flourish even more in the coming years and achieve a greater height. Hence I appeal to all members of CSI-WB to strengthen us more by encouraging their fellow cardiologist to get a CSI WB membership . We also seek your valuable suggestions, feedback and guidance to help us achieve our future endeavors.’’
